Grindr Xtra does the hard work for you, using algorithms to determine if the match is potentially good or not. The advancement in technology makes it easy for people to find love nearby or at a distance. The way to find love and remain in love has certainly changed with dating apps like Grindr Xtra. And it's most certainly not an app for actual gay men.Time is changing, and so is the dating culture. I don't know exactly what this app was supposed to be back in 2009, but I do know what it has become by 2021. And then there are the drug dealers, the bot accounts and the spam texts, all mentioned in other reviews. At the same time, this same app is infested with accounts created by prostitutes, most of which are trans, *on a supposedly gay app*, and their 'straight' male fans. Nor can I filter their fixation out of my own view so they won't be able to find my profile and send their unwanted and unsolicited attention.

So on one side you can't say that you don't like this or that, for example I can't say that I can't stand 'tops and bottoms', nor can I say that they should stay away, nope. Also, the app does not allow you to screen profiles you don't like, based on preference guides, such as body type, etc. Instead you are forced by the app to tolerate the intrusive and relentless attention of folk you find sexually a total turn off. Then last year it was forced to sell the ownership-right back to a US conglomerate, which would be much better, except that as soon as the transfer happened the app was brought under new 'guidelines' enforced by an armada of fragile snowflakes where you can't describe your preference, your dislikes, on your own profile, as to not offend those that you don't find attractive. Grindr has been fined while it was owned by a Chinese company, *facepalm*, for misusing private data.
